Visual Arts Program

The VAC hosts first Friday art walks at our gallery located at 841 Santa Fe, Denver, CO. Every first Friday of the month. Come see amazing art created by local Veterans on display, while enjoying a fun, family-friendly night exploring the Santa Fe Art District. 

Third Friday art walk is less crowded and provides a more intimate viewing of the artwork. It also provides more time to talk with and get to know the story behind the work and the artist on an individual level.

Want to display your artwork in our gallery? Click here to fill out the artist intake form and bring 2 or 3 pieces of your work to open call on the second Saturday of each month at 2 PM. Our curation board will evaluate your work, determine who gets to display in the gallery, and provide valuable feedback to all artists. 

2025 marked the 5th year the VAC has provided artwork for our state legislatures to display in their offices during the legislative session. This program provides our artist an opportunity to have their artwork on display at the State Capital, along with providing the artists and the VAC the opportunity to meet and work with our legislature as a part of our community outreach. 

The VAC has been working with the VA Hospital in Denver for over 7 years now as volunteers, and the vendor representing veteran artists displayed in the main concourse of the Rocky Mountain Eastern Colorado VA Hospital. 

The VAC provides artwork for multiple exhibits throughout the year. Contact us to request an exhibit at your next event or venue.  It can be a veteran-only exhibit or an exhibit that includes both veteran and civilian VAC member artists from our gallery.

The VAC is dedicated to providing Veteran artists with opportunities to display their work, provide mentorships and classes to help artist improve their art. We also serve the community in which we live to ensure Veterans and the community continue to build strong relationships.
